LHEVIA develops buoyant, electrically propelled stratospheric vehicles that give nations sovereign overhead presence — connectivity and Earth observation between 1 and 20 km, owned and operated end to end.
Design choices favour electrically driven systems: hybrid propulsion combining ion-wind and propellers, electric power without combustion, and architectures sized for maintainability and unit economics in fielded service.
Satellites give broad coverage but are distant and locked to their orbits; aircraft and drones come close but cannot stay up for long. Between 1 and 20 km, a lighter-than-air platform holds position over a region for extended periods.
